Our Vision

By 2030, The Mark Williams Foundation will transform lives by empowering 70 aspiring young entrepreneurs to build meaningful futures and also protect the vital relationships between 70 loving fathers and their children across Scotland, the North of England, and down to the Midlands.

The Mark Williams Foundation will be the volunteer foundation of choice a trusted and compassionate community creating opportunity, resilience, and hope. Through raising £2 million in charitable funds, we will directly support these fathers and aspiring entrepreneurs, ensuring. The Mark Williams Foundation becomes a recognised name synonymous with integrity, empowerment, and positive change. ​

Our Goals

To have a forecasted pipeline of young aspiring Entrepreneurs

To have partnered with 12 Legal firm across different geographies

To support 70 aspiring entrepreneurs and 70 desvering fathers through our unique programmes

Raise Awareness

To be operating in 4 in cities in Scotland and 4 in England

Achieve measurable awareness by securing 50 media features

To make the Foundation a household name in cities we operate

Teamwork

To have a consistent pipeline of volunteers working a total of 40 hours a week

To have admin costs lower that 10%

To have 95% of the workforce fully funded by external funding

Support

To raise £2m in donations in 5 years

To have secured both private and public grants

To have £50k PA generated through subscription donations

Our Year 1 Strategy (2025-26)

Impact

  • Launch operations in Edinburgh, ensuring programmes are designed by listening to beneficiary needs and feedback
  • Provide direct support to 4 deserving fathers, aiming to target low-middle market solicitors who handle legal aid cases regularly
  • Partner with the EY Foundation to recruit 4 young people for our entrepreneurial mentee programme by January 2026
  • Use our existing networks to recruit 4 dedicated mentors from Scotland who have shared
    values

Raise Awareness

  • Expand our brand presence through marketing strategy ensuring our charity is recognised for integrity and real care for those we serve
  • Implement process for peer-peer beneficiaries showcases to raise awareness of Foundation
  • Engage the Edinburgh community through the fundraising events, raising £5,000 and ensuring every donor sees the value and impact of their support

Teamwork

  • Recruit volunteers to work 15 hours a week whose contributions are directly channelled into activities supporting beneficiaries
  • Develop a clear internal processes that keep admin costs low to ensure more resources go directly to those in need
  • Identify a low-cost or free donations platform linked securely to our bank account, maximising the proportion of funds that help our beneficiaries

Support

  • Raise £85,000 in Year 1 to fund high-impact programmes through offical Launch Event.
  • Secure a public grant to cover the salary of one employee
  • Secure £10,000 through regular subscription donations and Gift Aid partnerships with two companies that are committed to and share our values
