We're Announcing a New Partnership with DadsWork to Strengthen Support for Fathers

The Mark Williams Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with DadsWork, an East Lothian-based organisation dedicated to supporting fathers and families through positive engagement, wellbeing initiatives and practical support.

The partnership brings together two organisations that share a common belief: when fathers are supported, families, children and communities benefit.
Through our Father Support Initiative, we provide wellbeing support, signposting, peer connections and access to professional guidance for fathers navigating some of life's most challenging circumstances.

DadsWork has built a strong reputation for championing the role of fathers in family life and supporting organisations to better understand and engage with the needs of working dads. Through community engagement, advocacy and workplace initiatives, they have helped create more positive outcomes for fathers and their families across East Lothian and beyond.

This new partnership will create opportunities for us to collaborate, share expertise and expand the support available to fathers across Scotland.

Through the partnership, we and Dads at Work will explore opportunities to:

  • Increase awareness of the challenges faced by fathers experiencing family separation.
  • Improve signposting pathways so fathers can access support more quickly.
  • Deliver joint events, workshops and wellbeing initiatives for fathers and families.
Share resources, knowledge and best practice across both organisations.
  • Strengthen local support networks and reduce isolation among fathers.
  • Promote positive father-child relationships and the importance of active fatherhood.
  • Collaborate on campaigns that raise awareness of fathers’ wellbeing and mental health.

This partnership reflects our shared commitment to collaboration and our shared ambition to improve the wellbeing of fathers throughout Scotland.

Together, we and Dads at Work will continue working towards a future where every father feels supported, valued and empowered to play an active role in the lives of their children.
The partnership will also provide opportunities for fathers engaging with either organisation to benefit from a broader network of support, helping ensure that individuals are connected to the right services at the right time.

"When we launched our Father Support Initiative, our goal was simple: to ensure that fathers facing difficult circumstances know they are not alone. We know that many fathers can feel isolated, overwhelmed and unsure where to turn for support. DadsWork shares our belief that fathers matter and that supporting fathers creates better outcomes for children, families and communities. We are excited to work together to reach more people, strengthen support networks and create lasting positive impact."
